What it is

One day a year to say out loud what so many people decide alone.

  1. What happens on the 15th

If you want to stop, you start counting. If you already stopped, you say how long it's been. If you're standing by someone, you ask how they're doing. That's all, and it's a lot.

  2. What you will not find

No sermons, no judgment, no scare tactics. Nobody has to give their name, say what they did yesterday, or prove anything to anyone.

  3. Who it is for

Any man or woman who decided to stop, in any country. And whoever stands by them: a wife, a husband, a friend, a father, a mother, a faith leader, a therapist.

Manifesto

Why there is a day for this.

World Day Against Pornography

Nobody marks on the calendar what they do in hiding. That is why this date did not exist.

Pornography walks into the house for free, all day long, without knocking. And whoever tries to get out almost always tries alone: without telling their wife, their husband, their friend, anyone. They try, they fall, they try again and think they are the only person in the world in this situation.

We know this silence because Firmo90 was built for these people. We're a small app, made in Brazil, for people who decided to stop. We have no cure to offer and we won't pretend we do. What we have is the certainty that a decision like this shouldn't be made in silence.

So we set a day for it.

15 September.

On that day, whoever wants to stop begins. Whoever already stopped can say how long it's been. Whoever is standing by someone asks how they're doing, straight out.

There's no ceremony, no sign-up, no soul-searching. There's a decision and a date for it.

Nobody will be judged for what they did yesterday. Nobody will hear a sermon. Nobody has to give their name.

The day doesn't belong to a religion, a party or a country.

We created the day, but it isn't ours. It belongs to whoever decides to use it.

We instituted 15 September in 2026 and we'll run it every year. If you want to adopt it, adopt it. If you want to read this text out loud to your group, read it. If you want to start today, start.

The phrase fits in three words.

Today I stop.

What to do on the day

There is no sign-up. Pick one thing from the list, or do them all.

  1. Start counting

If you decided to stop, make the 15th your day 1. It can be in Firmo90, which has a free account and does the counting for you, or a sheet of paper on the fridge door. What counts is the decision.

  2. Tell one person

Just one. Someone you trust. Saying it out loud is what takes the decision out of hiding.

  3. Post the poster

Post the day's poster with the hashtag. It's in the kit, in three sizes: one for a post, one for a story, one for a cover.

  4. Read the manifesto to your group

If you lead a church, a class, a team or a group, read the manifesto out loud on the 15th. Five minutes is enough.

Fundraiser

Keeping the day online costs money. If you can, chip in.

Firmo90 is a small app. The free account, this page, the translations and the campaign for the 15th run on servers we pay for. The fundraiser exists to cover that bill and take the day to more countries.

Where it goes

  • The servers that keep the app and this page online
  • Translating and spreading the day in more countries
  • Keeping the app's free account running
Choose an amount

From US$2, charged in US dollars. One-time contribution.

Your contribution joins the list either way, with its amount and time. This box decides one thing only: whether it shows your name or the word Anonymous. We read the name before publishing it, and we will swap it if you change your mind.

  • The recipient is Firmo90, the company that created the day and runs it every year. This is not a tax-deductible donation.
  • Card payment on Stripe's page, in US dollars. Your statement shows FIRMO90, and we don't keep your card details.
  • A one-time contribution: no renewal, no account, no charges afterwards.
  • Changed your mind? Write to us within 7 days and we'll send it back, no questions asked.

Kit to spread the day

Copy it, post it, pass it on.

The questions that come first

Is the day official?

Not yet. The World Day Against Pornography was created by Firmo90 in 2026 and is run by us. No institution has recognized the day so far, and we will not say otherwise. It exists because it was created, dated and signed here, and it grows as it is adopted.

Who created the date?

Firmo90, an app for people who decided to quit pornography. We created the day and run it, but it is not ours: any person or organization can adopt it.

Is it a religious date?

No. Faith communities are welcome, just like schools, clinics, companies and any other group. The manifesto speaks of a decision, not a belief.

Can my church, school or NGO adopt it?

Yes, without asking permission. Read the manifesto to your group, use the poster and cite the date and the origin the same way. If you want to tell us you adopted it, write to us.

Is it only for men?

No. It is for any man or woman who decided to stop, and for whoever stands by someone who did.

What do I do on the 15th?

One thing is enough: start counting, tell one person, post the poster or read the manifesto to your group. There is no sign-up and no mandatory event.

Do I need Firmo90 to take part?

No. The day is bigger than the app. Firmo90 has a free account for anyone who wants to start counting on the 15th, but the decision counts with or without it.

Where does the fundraiser money go?

To the servers that keep the app and this page online, to translating and spreading the date in more countries, and to keeping the free account free. The recipient is Firmo90, the company that created the date. It is not a tax-deductible donation, and nobody has to contribute to take part.

How is the payment made?

By card, on a Stripe page. It is a one-time contribution: no renewal, no account, and we keep neither your card details nor your email.

Can I ask for my money back?

Yes. Write to us through the contact page within 7 days, with the date and the amount, and we send it back, no questions asked. After that you can still ask, and we look at it case by case.

15 September

One date. One decision.

If you can, help keep 15 September online. If you cannot, take part all the same.
